Colombia coach Leonel Alvarez has named his 24-man squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers at home to Venezuela and Argentina.
Carlos Darwin Quintero of Santos Laguna in Mexico, PAOK Thessaloniki midfielder Diego Arias and Gerardo Vallejo of Deportes Tolima are the main new faces in the squad. Racing Club playmaker Giovanni Moreno misses out, as do Diego Chara, Adrian Ramos and Hugo Rodallega.
Colombia began their qualification campaign with an impressive 2-1 victory away to Bolivia and will be looking to continue their promising beginning to the process when they face Venezuela on the 11th, before squaring off against Argentina four days later. Both matches will take place at the Metropolitano stadium in Barranquilla.
