Colombia’s quest to win the 2011 U-20 World Cup on home soil continues tonight when they face Mexico in Bogota at the quarter final stage of the competition.
Eduardo Lara’s charges laboured to their last sixteen 3-2 victory over Costa Rica, while Mexico triumphed on penalties against Cameroon.
Ecuador and France square off for a place in the quarter finals of the 2011 U-20 World Cup tonight in Cartagena.
Ecuador come into the match having qualified second from their group with one win, one draw and one defeat, while France also finished second in their group, recovering from a 4-1 thrashing by Colombia in their opening match to record wins over South Korea and Mali that secured their place in the last sixteen.

The last sixteen of the 2011 U-20 World Cup kicks off today with four ties, among them hosts Colombia versus Costa Rica.
Colombia sailed through their group with a 100% record, the reward for which is staying in Bogota, where they played all of their group games. Costa Rica sneaked through as one of the best third-place finishers from a group that included Ecuador, to whom they fell to a 3-0 defeat.
